its pouring outside. the mountain needs to be wrung out and hung to dry. the only real hope is for the ground to freeze - though it was 60 degrees today. we have some serious compost piles to move around the minute a tractor can travel on frozen mud. though we’ve both been in and out of our farmery making caramel 14 hours a day and hand milking goats and going slightly insane, and slightly brainnumb, and extremely giddy about the buzz around our caramels. so. in the meantime. here is a photo of my favorite apple tree. many of you have walked with me past this tree at different moments - foggy sunrises, snowshoe pilgrimages, a walk to the bison farm, or even just a rainy day like today. come play again sometime.
